welcome to my blog about the world’s greatest wines & winemakers

About the blog and the author.

Wine has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My grandfather, deeply passionate about wine, made his own in his backyard — not the kind that chased Parker scores, but the kind that teaches you how much work and dedication go into every bottle.

That interest deepened during my studies in Mannheim, close to Rheinhessen and the Pfalz, where I spent time on wineries and worked harvests. I later lived and worked on a winery in Tasmania, seeing firsthand how decisions, place, and people shape what ends up in the glass. Since then I’ve started to travel to various wine regions across the world, and am frequently catching myself going back to Burgundy, which became a big passion of mine over the past years.

On this blog, I write about exceptional winemakers and their wines, and create educational content on winemaking and tasting. I’m particularly drawn to questions that are often discussed but rarely unpacked properly — from terroir and minerality to what truly makes certain wines exceptional. Most of my work lives on Instagram, where the diary began.

My professional background is in strategy consulting and private equity, which continues to shape how I think and write — with a focus on structure and clarity, while leaving room for the emotional side of wine.

What I post about

Winemaker interviews

I visit the world’s most talented winemakers to learn about their wines, philosophies, and daily work. Based on these visits, I create short-form video content and editorial portraits.

Wine education & analyses

I write about wine through a structured, analytical lens, breaking down complex topics into clear ideas. My focus is on questions that are widely discussed but rarely examined in depth.

Wine-related editorials

Wine doesn’t stop at what’s in the bottle.
I also write about the objects and rituals around it, from glassware and decanters to how they shape the experience of drinking wine.
